Jeffrey Simmons was born in Brockton, Massachusetts in 1975, he is the son of an artist and graphic designer and grew up in a home filled with art and creativity. During his adolescent years, he was awarded numerous times for his painting and creative talents and then moved on to attend Massachusetts College of Art, studying painting, sound design, and interrelated media. Throughout his 20s and 30s, Jeffrey continued painting while also writing and producing original music. Since moving to the northwest hills of Austin, Texas in 2010 with his wife and 3 children, he has found inspiration in the landscapes of the Texas Hill Country. This includes a focus on native plants, sunrises and sunsets. He mixes a pointillist brush work style of artists such Seurat and Pissarro with the vibrant colors of Monet and immediacy of Van Gogh.
